21世紀的特點是政治多極化、經濟全球化、文化多元化和信息社會化。在這個瞬息萬變、飛速發(fā)展的新世紀里,我國的高等教育事業(yè)在前十年里加速騰飛,由此帶來了英語專業(yè)的迅猛發(fā)展,使得英語語言文學專業(yè)的本科生和碩士生人數(shù)每年遞增。作為英語專業(yè)教學的重要組成部分,英美文學教學所受到的關注程度還不盡如人意。我們編寫這本《精編英國文學教程》,希望能夠在提高學生的英國文學學習興趣和鑒賞能力方面盡綿薄之力,給予一定的幫助。
英國文學是世界文學的重要組成部分。在16世紀上半葉,英國文學便異軍突起;到16世紀下半葉,以莎士比亞為代表的一批作家將英國文學的旗幟插上了歐洲文藝復興運動的頂峰。從此,英國文學一直屹立于世界文學之林。
《精編英國文學教程》是杭州電子科技大學“英美文學導論”校級與省級精品課程建設的重要組成部分。在多年的課程建設中,課程組所有成員認真?zhèn)湔n,精心制作出內容豐富、生動形象的教學課件,搜集了大量的教學資料,如英國文學經典影片、文化背景等視頻圖像,并不斷總結、積累和交流教學經驗,這些都為本教材的編寫打下了良好的基礎。它的編寫原則充分體現(xiàn)了本學科先進的教學思想,編寫過程中緊緊圍繞英語人才培訓的目標和思路,力求層次分明,條理清晰,章節(jié)安排合理,既突出重點、難點,又強調對本課程基礎知識的全面理解和掌握。
