《應用化學專業(yè)英語》第二版是北京高等教育精品教材，是根據(jù)大學英語教學大綱（理工科本科用）的專業(yè)閱讀部分的要求，受“全國部分高�；ゎ惣跋嚓P(guān)專業(yè)大學英語專業(yè)閱讀教材編審委員會”委托而編寫的，旨在為應用化學專業(yè)師生提供一本較系統(tǒng)的專業(yè)英語教學用書。
本教材具有以下特點：一、內(nèi)容選自近年來國外英文原版高等院�；瘜W和化工類教學用書及化學專著，能體現(xiàn)當代專業(yè)英語的篇章結(jié)構(gòu)特點和詞匯特點；二、題材新穎，文體各異；三、圍繞本專業(yè)若干重點內(nèi)容精選閱讀材料，覆蓋本專業(yè)主要研究領域及發(fā)展歷史、發(fā)展趨勢；四、內(nèi)容豐富，共包括五部分24個單元，每單元含精讀課文、專業(yè)詞匯（附音標）、課文注釋、多種形式的練習和泛讀課文。
