The book is connected with the history of the aviation development, some bases for the aerodynamic, strength analysis, airworthiness and manufacturing of civil aircraft. Also, there is the base information about typical structural materials. And also, obligatorily, there are some topics about designing process, specifics of major structural members and systems of civil airplanes. The emphasis is put on the connection among airworthiness requirements, parameters of environment in which an aircraft operates, and structure of an airplane.
This book will be useful for students with majors: civil aviation engineers, designing, manufacturing, strength analysis and airworthiness of aircraft.
The human engineering in modern times has many areas. All of them require high level engineers for providing high efficiency and high safety for human?s activities. They require deep knowledge and wide skills. First-year undergraduate students have no required knowledge and skills. More of them only have some information about Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, etc. These knowledge must be the required ones, but not enough.
So, how can the professors explain the principles of the aviation to the young students? I think there is only one way: it is needed to create some approaches for the same object of training.
What does it mean? For example: about principles of the aircraft flight. If a professor delivers to young students full circuit of all these principles, they will not understand much information, because they don?t have knowledge about the aerodynamic. But, if the professor delivers to these students only approximate model of the flight, which is based on the simplest examples of the secondary school Physics, they must understand more clearly about this topic. And, as for the next approach, after some years, they will learn more complex model of the flight principle.
So, it is needed to find simple examples to young unprepared brains that can understand them. It is a hard task to find simple examples in the complex principle.
Soviet engineers said, that the creation of the simple object by complex solution is a simple task, but opposite, it is hard to find simple solution for the complex task.
This book was written for solving the task about teaching young engineers. It is based on many open sources and here you can find as compilation of different references as own means of authors about these topics.
This book is intended to describe the brief of aircraft development, the brief of flight safety development (airworthiness development), principles of aircraft flight, parameters of environment in which aircraft operates, general information about structure of an airplane and its operation. The emphasis is put on the connection among airworthiness requirements, parameters of environment in which an aircraft operates, and structure of an airplane.
The subjects of this book are types, general structure and purposes of aircraft; characteristics of the environment in which aircraft operates; basic geometrical parameters, flight performance, operational specifications; typical aircraft classification and different features; the main units and parts of airplane; the basic structural materials for aircraft; principles and general layout of aircraft engines. All of these facts influence on the airworthiness requirements.
The aim is to give elementary knowledge about scientific base and theoretical basis in the field of the aircraft engineering; structural layout, content and purposes of aircraft units and parts; general operation and maintenance of aircraft; principles of aircraft flight; main structure of airworthiness and the requirements to aircraft and its units and systems.
This book will be useful for students with majors: civil aviation engineers, designing, manufacturing, strength analysis and airworthiness of aircraft.
