《財經(jīng)專業(yè)英語教程（第四版）》保留初版時的三大部分：工商管理、經(jīng)濟體制和金融投資、世界貿(mào)易，但內(nèi)容發(fā)生了重大改變。經(jīng)過三次修訂，課文變化率高達80％，體現(xiàn)了與時俱進的原則。第四版的工商管理部分包括管理理念、管理法則、管理人員應(yīng)有的素質(zhì)、技術(shù)層面的財務(wù)管理目標、增值稅和世界通用的審計報告格式等。經(jīng)濟體制和金融投資部分囊括股票和證券投資基礎(chǔ)、股市崩潰史、通貨膨脹與通貨緊縮、對凱恩斯主義的再思；第四版新增了混合經(jīng)濟、中國經(jīng)濟改革的新舉措、量化寬松和有關(guān)CDP的知識。世界貿(mào)易部分包括WTO自由貿(mào)易理論、國際支付簡史、無貨幣支付、國際外匯市場，新增了世界自由貿(mào)易區(qū)發(fā)展史以及西方人眼中的中國上海自貿(mào)區(qū)的文章等。每一部分后均安排一個復習單元，對該部分學習到的財經(jīng)詞匯和術(shù)語變換語境進行復習鞏固，并安排相關(guān)內(nèi)容的短文理解練習，檢查學生財經(jīng)英語的閱讀能力。這些短文同時擴充了財經(jīng)英語的知識面，包括管理會計、商業(yè)模式、PMI、股票指數(shù)、貨幣供應(yīng)量、CPI、IPO、基尼系數(shù)、IMF、金價歷史、世界銀行組織結(jié)構(gòu)、電子貨幣弊端等。整個教程內(nèi)容豐富，練習的專業(yè)性強，適用于財經(jīng)各專業(yè)使用。任課教師可以根據(jù)教學對象所學專業(yè)對其中的某個部分有所側(cè)重。另外，本教程解釋詳盡，設(shè)計了大量的鞏固練習，并附有詞匯總表、參考譯文等，完全適合有志者進行自學。
