本系列教材在重視英語語言基本技能綜合訓(xùn)練的同時(shí)，尤其重視高級(jí)認(rèn)知能力培養(yǎng)，特別是批判性思維訓(xùn)練。此訓(xùn)練主要通過對(duì)解釋、分析、評(píng)估、推論、說明和自我校準(zhǔn)等核心技能的培養(yǎng)，旨在培育能夠整合批判性思維的各種技能并加以有效運(yùn)用，增強(qiáng)在不同學(xué)科學(xué)習(xí)和日常生活中運(yùn)用這些工具的自信心、自覺性和具備良好判斷的學(xué)習(xí)者。本教材供非英語專業(yè)博士研究生和較高水平的碩士研究生教學(xué)使用。
