本書突出記述了福建省1988年至2008年二十年體育事業(yè)的發(fā)展狀況。具體包括正文和附錄兩個部分。正文部分包括全民健身活動、傳統(tǒng)民間體育、現(xiàn)代休閑體育、學校體育、職工體育、農民體育、老年體育、殘疾人體育、少數(shù)民族體育、社區(qū)體育、競技項目、運動競賽、人才培養(yǎng)、體育交往、體育科研、體育法規(guī)政策、體育場地、體育產業(yè)、體育機構等內容。附錄部分包括體育大事年表、榮譽表、人物表、破記錄表、獎牌統(tǒng)計表及重要文獻輯錄。
