《大學(xué)英語：讀與寫》包含一個(gè)基礎(chǔ)測(cè)試和九個(gè)單元的學(xué)習(xí)內(nèi)容。 《大學(xué)英語：讀與寫》的一部分是有關(guān)寫作基礎(chǔ)的診斷性測(cè)試，主要檢測(cè)學(xué)生對(duì)英語高頻詞匯、基礎(chǔ)語法、標(biāo)點(diǎn)符號(hào)及文稿格式的掌握情況。設(shè)置該部分的目的是讓學(xué)生了解自己之前學(xué)習(xí)中的薄弱環(huán)節(jié)，并能輔以有針對(duì)性的訓(xùn)練以提高自身基礎(chǔ)英語水平，為后面的單元學(xué)習(xí)做好準(zhǔn)備。 單元學(xué)習(xí)內(nèi)容按照課文主題和寫作特點(diǎn)共分為九個(gè)單元。在每個(gè)單元內(nèi)，又分閱讀（語言輸入）和寫作（語言輸出）兩個(gè)部分。閱讀部分包括課文和練習(xí)兩個(gè)板塊，從思想內(nèi)容和語言兩個(gè)方面給學(xué)生提供輸入。寫作部分包含重要知識(shí)點(diǎn)的精講、分項(xiàng)練習(xí)及寫作輸出任務(wù)�！洞髮W(xué)英語：讀與寫》九個(gè)單元寫作知識(shí)點(diǎn)的選取均以《大學(xué)英語教學(xué)指南》為綱。一單元至第六單元圍繞基礎(chǔ)英語寫作，主要涉及英語段落的組織和展開、不同體裁及概要的寫作。第七單元至第九單元從學(xué)生的實(shí)際生活和將來工作的需求出發(fā)，囊括了個(gè)人簡(jiǎn)歷、求職申請(qǐng)信、演講稿和論文摘要等類型的實(shí)用性及學(xué)術(shù)性寫作�！洞髮W(xué)英語：讀與寫》每單元的寫作練習(xí)緊扣知識(shí)點(diǎn)，由淺入深、由易及難，循序漸進(jìn)地幫助學(xué)生掌握單元重點(diǎn)和難點(diǎn)。而寫作輸出任務(wù)則充分體現(xiàn)了讀寫結(jié)合的教學(xué)理念，要求學(xué)生綜合運(yùn)用單元目標(biāo)知識(shí)和寫作技巧完成特定題目的篇章寫作。
