This Code is formulated with a view to standardizing the technical requirements for the designof traction power supply system
This Code is applicable to the design of single-phase power frequency traction power supply system with the nominal voltage of overhead contact line being 25 kV for the railway with standard gauge.
The design term for the traction power supply system of railway includes short term and long term The short term refers to the lOffi year after delivery and the long term refers to 20~ year after delivery.
Traction power supply system shall be of Level I load. There shall be two power supply sources in traction substation,of which when one fails,the other is still able to maintain the normal power supply.
Traction power supply system shall provide reliable power for the electric locomotive. When there is no power source in local area,it can also provide power to other consumptions of railway or local consumers when technically and economically reasonable.
The selected equipment in design shall meet the requirements of electric traction When new technology,technique,material and equipment are used,relevant national and professional provisions shall be followed
Reasonable design scheme shall be adopted and material and equipment shall be reasonably selected for the traction power supply system in subfrigid zone and frigid zone.
The provisions in current national laws and regulations on the environmental protection and energy efficiency shall be implemented when doing the design of traction power supply system.
All kinds of buildings and structures for the traction power supply system shall meet the requirements for structure gauge within electric traction section.
Besides this Code,the design of electric traction power supply system and its buildings and structures shall also comply with the regulations specified in the relevant current national standards.
This Code is prepared based on revision of Design Code of Rail-way Electric Traction Feeding (TB 10009-2005), summarizing and absorbing the experiences and the scientific & technological achievements in the construction of the traction power supply engineering and the operation management in recent years, referring to design code of both relevant domestic and foreign standards and widely solicited comments,
This Code consists of 7 chapters, namely General Previsions, Terms, Traction Power Supply, Traction Substation, Overhead Contact Line System, Dispatching and SCADA System of Traction Power Supply System, lnspection and Maintenance for the Traction Power Supply System, and 2 Appendices.
The revisions mainly include:
1. The common contents in such current national standards and professional standards in the field of electric power supply as Code for the Design o f Power Supply and Distribution System (GB 50059), Code for the Design o f 3~110 kV High Voltage Power Distribution Instatlations (GB 50060) and Code for the Design of Earthing Work of AC Electrical Installations (GB/T 50065) are included in this Code.
2. The application scope is revised. The design requirements for the system in subfrigid zone and requirements on-energy efficiency and environmental protection are added.
3. The term items are optimized.
4. The relevant provisions on the power supply for the terminal and the feeding section are addecL The contents of BT power supply mode and shunt capacitor are deleted.
5. The provisions on the boosting wire and bondings connected to rail are revised
6. The provisions on the type selection of power distribution installations with voltage level of 330 kV and 220 kV, GIS, the lightening protection and over-voltage protection measures of the control circuit and the earthing of feeder cable are added.
7. The contents on the single line diagram in sectioning posts and auto-transformer posts are added and the provisions on the design of auxiliary AC power supply are improvetL
8, The contents on the auxiliary protection of traction power supply system are improved, the requirements on the design of relay protection, automatic devices and measurement meters and instruments are revised, the provisions on the design of double protection for transformers with voltage level of 220 kV and above are added.
9. Combining the experiences on the prevention against natural disaster and ecologist environment protection, the provisions on the insulation level, the lightning protection and earthing work and bird repellent are improved.
