This Code is prepared according to Notice of CHINA RAILWAY on Issuing the Development Plan of Railway Engineering and Construction Standards in 2015 (Document TZJSH [2015] No.313).
This Code is prepared based on the practical experience in the construction and operation of railway freight facilities in China,following the development concept that the railway enterprises shall carry out all categories of logistics activities,provide whole-process services,conduct all-round operation and perform overall-process management, taking into consideration the technical characteristics of railway logistics center,and referring to the experience and practice of social logistics enterprises, so that the railway logistics centers could be integrated into the logistics system of the whole society9 so as to meet the requirement to transform the railway freight to modern logistics and to make the design of railway logistics center meet the requirements forsafety,applicability,advanced technology,convenience,high efficiency,quality service and economic rationality.
The Code consists of 19 chapters:General Provisions,Terms and Abbreviations,Classification and Site Selection,Logistics Demand and Function Setting,Logistics Organization,General Layout, Railway Receiving-departure Yard and Shunting Yard,Container Functional Area,Bulky Goods Functional Area,Packaged Goods Functional Area,Commodity Automobile Functional Area,Goods in Bulk Functional Area, Warehousing and Distribution Functional Area, Dangerous Goods Functional Area, Refrigeration Functional Area, Other Functional Areas, Logistics Equipment,Information System,and Supporting Facilities and Equipment.
